A first step toward post-quantum security

At 1Password, our mission is simple: to protect people’s most critical information, their credentials. At the time of writing this post, I personally have 291 items in my vault, so the long-term confidentiality of this data is critical to myself and every 1Password user. We are thrilled to announce the first major milestone in our post-quantum cryptography (PQC) journey, the successful deployment of PQC on 1Password’s web application.

My First RSA: Agents, Challenges, and Community

I am no stranger to conferences, and certainly no stranger to security conferences. Over the years, BlackHat and DEFCON have both become staples of my calendar. But this year brought a new one to the list: RSA, and it truly lived up to the hype. The show floor was full of bright lights, fancy booths, and yes, tattoos, if you knew where to find them.

Episode 29: When AI becomes a security problem ft. Tamaghna Basu

AI has quietly moved from experiments to real-world systems that now write, decide, and reason alongside us. But as these systems scale, so do the risks. From hallucinations and data leakage to prompt injection and model abuse. In this episode of Server Room, we sit down with Tamaghna Basu, Founder of DeTaSECURE, to explore what it really takes to build and secure AI systems in production and why the future of AI will depend not just on intelligence, but on trust.

Data Protection Fundamentals: How to Backup an Amazon S3 Bucket

Amazon S3 is reliable cloud storage provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS). Files are stored as objects in Amazon S3 buckets. This storage is widely used to store data backups due to the high reliability of Amazon S3. Unlike Amazon Elastic Block Storage (EBS), where redundant data is stored in one availability zone, in Amazon S3, redundant data is distributed across multiple availability zones.

The 2026 AI SOC Leadership Report: What 450 Security Leaders Told Us

See how Torq harnesses AI in your SOC to detect, prioritize, and respond to threats faster. Request a Demo When we started building Torq four years ago, we had a thesis: the SOC was broken, and automation — real automation, not another tool bolted onto the stack — was the way to fix it. AI has since changed the game entirely. But has it streamlined the SOC, or introduced new complexity? We wanted to find out.

World Backup Day: Why your digital life needs a backup

World Backup Day is a helpful reminder that reliable backups are essential for maintaining the availability and confidentiality of data. With the amount of global data created expected to reach 230-240 zettabytes in 2026, protecting both business and personal data is critical. This year, World Backup Day is even more meaningful as it also marks Acronis’ 23rd birthday.

World Backup Day: Because "It Won't Happen to Me" Often Means It Will

Every year on March 31st, World Backup Day rolls around with a simple but important message: Backup your data. It sounds almost too basic, right? I mean we all know in our minds that we should be doing that, and in a world of AI, zero-day exploits and nation-state threats, backing up data can feel like a cybersecurity 101 task.
