Tablets and mobile devices have become an essential part of our daily lives, especially as 5G expands and remote work continues. This means these devices hold some of the most sensitive information that is tied to our digital identity. Today, I’m excited to share that we have expanded our consumer partnership with NTT DOCOMO to include identity monitoring and protection for DOCOMO’s subscribers across Android and iOS devices.

The report, Disjointed and under-resourced: Cyber security across UK councils, is based on analysis of Freedom of Information (FOI) data supplied by more than 60% of borough, district, unitary and county councils.

Commencing just before 1000hrs UTC on June 8, 2021, widespread reports of high-profile websites being unavailable began to surface with visitors to these sites receiving ominous looking error messages (Figure 1). Figure 1 - Example outage message 'gov.uk' Initially, many of these error messages returned a HTTP error '503', advising the user that the service is unavailable, and these originated from a 'Varnish cache server' HTTP accelerator that was attempting to serve the intended content.

Today, we are proud to announce the expansion of the partnership between Synopsys and the OpenChain project to include third-party certification. The OpenChain Project already recognizes the open source expertise of Synopsys in both the service provider and vendor space. This latest recognition ensures that Synopsys participates in and continuously aligns to the OpenChain Project and ISO/IEC 5230 compliance specification.

Earlier this year, we announced the beta support for Python in Snyk Code. This beta period gave us the chance to let customers have access to our extensive collection of Python rules while we finished our knowledge base review and added curated content. We are happy to announce that this work has concluded, and Python is now a fully supported language. 🐍 🎉
