DDoS attacks, or distributed denial-of-service attacks, are a type of cyber attack that aims to disrupt websites (and other types of Internet properties) to make them unavailable for legitimate users by overwhelming them with more traffic than they can handle — similar to a driver stuck in a traffic jam on the way to the grocery store.
Earlier this month, the District of Columbia Board of Elections (DCBOE) warned that a threat actor may have gained access to the personal information of their registered voters. In an X post on Friday 20th October, the agency was keen to stress that it was only a possibility the voter roll had been accessed.

VBScript (Visual Basic Script), after being used for 27 years, the tech giant – “Microsoft” officially announced its deprecation from future Windows versions. The Windows team made this announcement in their recent update, which includes a list of “Deprecated features for Windows clients.” The official statement from Microsoft reads, “VBScript is being deprecated.
