LastPass Import Using Single Sign On (SSO) or Federated Login
Migrating your users from LastPass to Keeper is simple and secure. All information stored in LastPass, including passwords, folders, subfolders, custom fields and notes can be moved to Keeper with just a few clicks.
Lastpass users who are using Single Sign-On (SSO) or a Federated Authentication Platform such as Okta, Azure and Google, can import credentials, secrets and other data directly into Keeper using our Desktop Application. Our automated import tool now supports both Master Password and federated SSO login methods.
If you haven't already done so, download the latest version of Keeper Desktop from our website’s download page at keepersecurity.com/download. Once you’ve logged in to Keeper, click on your account email in the upper right corner of the screen. Next select Settings, Import and choose LastPass from the list of password managers.
Enter your LastPass email on this screen. To import your Shared Folders from LastPass select the "Include shared folders" option and click Next. If your admin has already migrated shared folders, you should not select this option.
Keeper then recognizes if you're using SSO for login and you'll be asked to sign in to the identity provider through your usual SSO workflow.
Review the import and map fields if necessary. If you intend to share all first level folders, check the box for “Import Root Level Folders as Shared”. By selecting this option, all top level folders will become shared. Lastly, click Import to seamlessly and securely complete the transfer. Your records will now appear in your Keeper Vault.
If you are a Keeper Admin and you're looking to transfer Shared Folders along with user and team permissions, please check out Keeper Commander's LastPass migration tool. This feature allows the Keeper Admin to migrate all shared folders and permissions before the end-users migrate their private vaults.
