How to Add Azure Account as a Datasource

Oct 3, 2024

In this BDRSuite demo, I’ll guide you through adding an Azure Account as a Data Source in BDRSuite Backup Server.`

BDRSuite provides robust protection for your Azure data, allowing you to back up and recover virtual machines, storage accounts, and other Azure resources efficiently. It supports flexible storage options, secure backups, and easy recovery processes.

Steps Covered: Add Azure Account: Navigate to the 'Cloud Applications' tab under Data Sources, and click "Azure" to add it as a data source in your BDRSuite Backup Server. Create an ApplicationID and password: Log in to the Azure Portal and create an application for BDRSuite. Generate Application Id and Application Password. Enable Required permissions/roles: Ensure that the necessary permissions/roles are enabled to allow seamless interaction between BDRSuite and your Azure account. Create and Collect Credentials: Gather the Tenant ID, Application ID, and Application Password after creating your Azure app. These credentials will allow BDRSuite to access and back up your Azure resources. Save Your Azure Account in BDRSuite: Add the Azure account credentials to BDRSuite and save them. You can always manage these credentials later via the Backup Server’s Credential Management section.
