Such a wonderful selection to pick from this week, but of course, my favourite are IoT fails. While most are quite ridiculous and generally limit the risk, a new product on the market has elevated the risk of serious damage by introducing the remote control of real fire!

Extortion methods have been pretty consistent the past couple of years, but a new one popped up this week which seems to be focused on the online small business owner. I wonder how this one will pan out.

Blockchain is trendy, has been for a while, and to be honest its not something I’ve had time to look at myself. All I tend to hear about are companies trying to find uses for that and/or machine learning, and the often shouted response of others saying its a solution looking for a problem outside it’s original sphere.
